On June 5^th, 2014 Digital October is going to host the second DEMO Europe conference, that enables new technologies to be seen by the right people at the right time on a global stage. The DEMO format differs from other conferences in that it is not a startup battle but a showcase for entrepreneurs to present their technologies. Last year, DEMO proved to be a smashing success: over 700 participants, 50 most promising startups, over 100 investors, over 150 local and international journalists and thousands of viewers online.

Speakers will include Di-Ann Eisnor Vice-president at Waze, Shaan Puri CEO for Monkey Inferno, Lars Buch, CEO StartupBootacamp Copenhagenand, Neal Silverman the executive producer of DEMO in the US and a senior VP at the International Data Group and his colleague Erick Schonfield – the executive producer of DEMO and former editor-in-chief of TechCrunch.

DEMO is the oldest tech forum in North America, one that has been held for more than 20 years. In that time it has received 20000 applications, of which 1500 have been chosen. They include Netscape Navigator, Java, Skype Mobile, Palm Computing, TiVo, Leapfrog, Shopping.com, Salesforce.com, SHAZAM, and other projects.

The cumulative investment received by companies in the first few months after their participation in the conference adds up to $4.5 billion. In addition, around one quarter of the startups that have taken part in DEMO in the past four years are currently subdivisions of such giants as Adobe, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, Symantec, Viacom, Yahoo, and others.
